Traveling this coming week? For me packing snacks is essential for avoiding the hangry phase. No matter what travel can be exhausting and it is important to prepare for the long hours in the car/plane/train. We listen to audiobooks or podcasts to make the hours more entertaining. I also try to pack different activities for each hour because, hello my name is Lauren and I have ADD and sitting still is HARD (not a joke, this is true).
Honestly having a snack to look forward to makes the hours seem a little more enjoyable. The essentials we pack are:
- something sweet
Earlier this year we rode with friends to a wedding and they brought a giant bag of Easter candy. When energy levels got low my friend would say “Chocolate me!” and hold out her hand. It was adorable. I know there will be treats at our destination so we might skip the something sweet to avoid an overdose of sugar.
Check out my Snack page for a comprehensive list of snacks. Depending on your destination most foods are airline friendly. If you aren’t able to prepare too far in advance I LOVE me a quest bar. They are smart to keep in my purse in case we go to a party and there isn’t anything for me to eat.
Are you traveling this season? What do you pack for snacks?
