This totally describes my relationship with PB2 (link contains affiliate). I have been stalking it for something like 3 years now. So much energy wasted. Part of the problem was I never saw it at a grocery store so amazon really was my only option and what if I didn’t like it?!? I would have this large container! So yeah Target totally sells this. They might have been selling it all along, I have no idea. I mostly shop the perimeter of the store so I never get exposed to foods that are not gluten free and/or are processed. But somehow I was gasp! in an aisle at Target, the peanut butter/look at the amazing things we’ve done with Nutella since you were 10 aisle. And there it was! PB2! Grabbed.
For those of you who don’t know about it PB2 is a powdered form of peanuts with 85% less fat and calories than regular peanut butter. Actually I don’t care about that, I like the regular peanut butter, I need the calories and I don’t think fat is all that bad. So why did I grab this? Travel. I figured it would be an easy jar to throw into my bag and always have the option of making peanut butter. I have heard “horror” stories of the TSA confiscating people’s Nutella because some consider the spread a liquid. I don’t want to take that chance with peanut butter, plus this sucker is way lighter than a jar of peanut butter.
But how does it taste?!!?!? It tastes like peanut butter to me, thought I haven’t mixed it with water yet to make my own “peanut butter”. I threw it in the blender and made a healthy “milk shake” which is dairy free hence the quotations. It was delicious! Perfect for sitting on the deck sipping while I type this 🙂
