I do try to limit my sugar I promise. This is not likely obvious considering the vast number of dessert recipes on this blog. While coming up with desserts that do not require the oven I also try to lower the sugar levels using tricks like adding vanilla extract. These popsicles are great because they are mix between eating a salted chocolate bar and hot chocolate…cold. The salt brings out the chocolate flavor incredibly well. The almond milk makes the pops feel creamy like a fudgsicle but without the cream. I used low sugar and low calorie almond milk because I had never tried it, but normally I would just use original. You can easily use real milk or any other milk substitute. Flax milk would have too strong a flavor though.
- 2 cups almond milk
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 TBS vanilla extract
- 1 TBS Agave
- In a large bowl whisk the almond milk, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, and agave.
- Pour into popsicle molds and freeze.
