Remember this delicious treat we had in Stockholm?
It was a chocolate ball made with oats and served with whipped cream. It was also the only dessert I was able to have the entire trip so it has a special place in my heart. I was really excited to recreate it and I have been making it for the past couple of months. But I wasn’t sharing it with you! Naughty food blogger that I am! Well I mostly wasn’t sharing it because I was copying a recipe I found online. But this past weekend I decided it was high time to remake this treat, photograph it, and share it with y’all.
I opted for bite size portions for this, the better to share! The main ingredients are sugar and butter and I figured smaller portions were better. I highly recommend eating this with the whipped cream pictured in the first photo because whipped cream is awesome. I didn’t have any heavy whipping cream at home and figured cutting the cream cut some calories and allowed me more wine 😉
Check out this recipe for the deets, I took out the coconut because my “original” did not have that. I also used decaf espresso so a midnight snack wouldn’t mean I was up at 4 AM.
